The nationwide tree plantation campaign, organized by Minhaj Youth League in connection with the Independence Month (August), was inaugurated by the Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, who planted a sapling.

Punjab Governor planted the sapling at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

Upon his arrival at the secretariat, the Governor of Punjab laid a wreath at the memorial of the martyrs of Model Town and offered prayers for the elevation of their ranks.
