Lahore (13 May 2025): Director of Interfaith Relations at Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Mr. Sohail Ahmad Raza, has congratulated the newly elected 267th Bishop of Rome,His Eminence Pope Leo XIV (Cardinal Robert Francis), on assuming his new role at the Vatican City.

He expressed hope that the new Pope will take effective steps to promote tolerance between religions and mutual respect for humanity. Sohail Ahmad Raza said that the election of Pope Leo XIV brings a new hope for strengthening interfaith dialogue and global brotherhood.

He also paid tribute to the late Pope Francis, saying his efforts for humanity, poverty reduction, interfaith tolerance, improvement of Muslim-Christian relations, and global peace will always be remembered.

Sohail Ahmad Raza further said that Minhaj-ul-Quran has always worked for the promotion of interfaith harmony and dialogue. He expressed confidence that Pope Leo XIV will continue to support efforts that promote Muslim-Christian relations and global peace.
