Caricature Issue: Peaceful protests around the world

The events in Denmark concerning the Messenger of God represent an entirely unacceptable crime of aggression that has violated the highest sanctifies of the Muslim people. Moreover it is devastation to the ideal of convivial dialogue between people, as enjoined in the Quranic verse which reads, And We created you as nations and tribes that you might know one another.

	شیخ الاسلام پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمدطاہر القادری سمیت دنیا بھر کے سرکردہ دینی رہنماؤں کا اعلامیہ ڈنمارک میں ہونے والے ان واقعات کو کسی طرح بھی قبول نہیں کیا جاسکتا جن میں اہانت رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا ارتکاب کیا گیا ہے اور ناموسِ رسالت صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو نشانہ بنایا گیا ہے۔ اس سے پوری امت مسلمہ کی دل آزاری ہوئی ہے اور اقوام عالم کے مابین اصلاحِ احوال کے اعلیٰ ترین مقصد کے حصول کےلئے اس قرآنی حکم سے رو گردانی کی گئی ہے جس میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے: اور ہم نے تمہیں قبائل اور اقوام کی صورت میں اس لئے پیدا فرمایا تاکہ تم ایک دوسرے کو جان لو۔

	A call to prevent a clash of civilisations The world is facing yet another challenge following the world-wide controversy caused by the publication of blasphemous and defamatory caricatures of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in some European newspapers.
	A big Thank You to the Irish media & rally against Islamophobia The first message that we want to send to the country is that of the legitimate voice of the Muslim community (as opposed to those that hijacked last week`s demonstration outside the Danish embassy in London).

	Anti Blasphemy Rally Islamabad An anti Blasphemy Rally was organised by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in Islamabad to protest against the publication of the blasphemous caricatures by newspapers around the world. The rally demanded the newspapers to apologise unreservedly and also called upon the concerned governments to take action to prevent such blasphemy taking place again in the future.
	Caricatures are violation of basic Human Rights Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), has declared the publication of the caricatures of the Prophet (SAW) as the violation of basic human rights of believers of all religions world wide. He has condemned their publication and subsequent republication. He has said that such an act cannot be defended under the banner of freedom of speech.
